Joel (pronounced Hoel)

We have never doubted that young people are able to step up to far more responsibility than most people imagine. In fact, the more one believes in them, the more they excel.

Imagine you're an onion-farmer kid and because of a short conversation in the market, at your mother's vegetable stall, a foreign visitor picks you to train as a leader of your community. He impressed us with his gentle spirit, eagerness to learn, and his willingness to work hard. All three boys are working full-time, and going to school part-time.
