Abel's daughter Larisa did an excellent project on snakes. One interesting point was that 10% of her survey respondents had eaten snakes. Apparently in the Peten region of Guatemala, snake is a delicacy (as it is in Texas, where people eat rattlesnake burgers). Tastes like chicken, they say.
