6.1 On The Richter Scale

At 10:21 AM this morning, we were on Skype with Joe and Melissa, when the house started to shake. We said "we're having an earthquake - call you back", and ran outside.

The quake's epicentre was at the "A" marker on the map, deep below Lake Atitlan, about 5 miles from our house. No damage or injuries have been reported.

You can read more about it at the US Geological Survey here, and see it here on the Google Map.

Earthquakes are pretty weird experiences aren't they? Glad there is no apparent damage.

What a way to start your morning. Praying for your safety and health during your time there for sure.
