One of the Mayan Families staff, Alberto, leads sewing classes in Tierra Linda on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He also leads the classes in San Jorge. When ladies graduate from the program, they are given their sewing machine as a graduation present - so they can carry on and earn a living from it.
