Today was our very first class in the school at Tierra Linda!
It was incredibly exciting. The students and teachers were more engaged, and the Conexions visitors were amazed at the progress of the students.
For all of you who have followed our story, you understand how big a moment this was today. This school had a dirt-floor classroom three years ago, and people told us to just bring them pencils, since they'd never amount to anything anyway. Looks to us like they have a bright future, because other people believe in them.

I guess this is just another example of why the cliche "never say never" is a cliche.
What a difference a dream can make!! Congratulations to everyone who played a part. Hats off, especially to David, Danaya and Zane and all the eager students whose hard work has brought them to this point. A milestone has been reached! Keep on dreaming .....
How wonderful. Our heart go out to the wonderful people in Tierra Linda. We just wish we could have had a little more time there! We hope the music is also going well.
