We're building using MDF (pressboard), which isn't common here. Guatemalan lumber is usually sold wet or wetter. Dry lumber is rare and very expensive. So when things are built with wet lumber, they shrink and crack as they dry. When you say MDF in Spanish, it sounds like "Emmi-Dee-Efee".
