Go Canucks!

Dave was watching the Canucks online tonight on CBC's website, connected remotely to his mom's computer, while listening to the Team 1040 radio feed.

We think it is CRTC policy...CBC broadcasts the games live on their website, but only for people in Canada. If you live outside of Canada, you can't access it (it won't play for you).

Think through the logic on this...if you live in Canada, where you can get CBC with a TV and a coathanger antenna, you can also watch it online. But if you are an expatriate or a traveller in another country, you're out of luck on both counts. On a Conexions trip several years ago, we did watch Canucks playoff hockey here, thanks to special technical help from Dave's hockey buddies back at home.

Policies like that are so invigorating to circumvent. And when the Canucks start with a 2-0 lead, it's even better.
